A cobbler claimed this corner of Lenox Square in 1977 and never left. Different hands have worked the bench — the craft passed from one to the next — but the shop never closed and the corner never moved.

When the Heel Quik franchise dissolved in 2019, the Lenox location went independent. The sign had been there too long to give up. Today we're the most-reviewed cobbler in Atlanta: the shop Louboutin, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabbana send their customers to.

Lenox Square opens.

Buckhead's landmark shopping center opens — one of the most iconic retail destinations in the Southeast.

1977

The bench is set.

A cobbler claims the corner inside Lenox Square. The shop that would carry the Heel Quik name starts here.

Heel Quik launches.

Ray Margiano builds a fast-repair franchise out of Atlanta. The idea spreads — 700+ locations across 28 countries by 2000.

2000s

The name goes global.

One of the largest shoe repair networks in the world. The Lenox location holds steady through every era of Buckhead retail.

The franchise ends. We stay.

When the franchise dissolves, the Lenox location doesn't follow. The sign has been there too long to give up.
